UPDATE: In accordance with Governor Whitmer’s executive order, the library will remain closed until further notice. In the meantime, please take a look at some of the ways we’re helping make social distancing easier.
Dear Valued Library Member,
The Library will be closed from March 15-April 5! until further notice.
The Harrison Township Public Library is committed to the health and safety of our guests, our staff, and our community. In our efforts to combat the spread of the virus, we will be closing our doors from March 15-April 5. We will automatically extend all due dates and waive all fines until we reopen. We ask everyone to PLEASE keep all library materials until we reopen.
While our doors are closed, our staff are still working to provide you with the best possible service. Our librarians are creating digital content like online storytimes and digital programs to help keep our members engaged and informed during this time of social distancing. Check out our Facebook and our YouTube channel to access our digital programs.
Library Program Status
All in-person library programs through April 5th and the DIA bus tour scheduled for April 8th are cancelled.
We will continue to communicate any further impacts on the library, our programs, our hours, and all our services as necessary. In the meantime, please take full advantage of the many digital resources that you can access from the comfort of your home with your library card at htlibrary.org.
Everyone can play a part in keeping our community healthy. Please visit the following websites to learn more about the federal, state, and local response as well as what you can do to protect yourself.
