Recommended for children in grades K-3 who have an IRP (Individualized Reading Plan) per the new Michigan reading law and/or need support in reading basics.
Series #1: Winter 2018. Word Play! Building a Base for Reading.
This multi-week series of classes will support the building of a strong reading foundation. We will work on phonological awareness by playing around with words in stories, games, songs, and other activities. Take-home activities will also be provided for families. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pre-registration is required for this 6-week course. Registration will begin on Wednesday, January 3, and will continue until the first day of class. Class limit is 15 children; others will be put on a waiting list. To register, please stop by the library or call 586 329-1261.
