Beginning July 7, the Harrison Township Public Library will begin its new hours of service to the public. “For the past six months we’ve been tracking when people tend to use the library the most and we’re making adjustments in our open hours to better serve the community” said Library Director Dan Hutchins of the change. “We’re expanding our hours of operation from 40 hours per week to 42. On Fridays and Saturdays we’ll open earlier and close later as those are busy days which are important to families” Hutchins elaborated.
The new hours represent the results of over six months of study and analysis by the library board and administration. “We’re pleased we’re able to expand our hours overall and most especially on the days people like to use the library; we’re always looking for ways to do more” Hutchins added.
