We are doing something new for Summer Reading this year! Here’s how it works:
Each Monday, from June 1- August 3, we will release a weekly challenge on social media and the children’s page of our website.
Complete the weekly challenge activities, and submit the online form to receive a collectible brag tag, a vote for a charity donation, and an entry into our end-of-summer prize raffle. Try to collect all the brag tags to wear on your lanyard necklace! You will receive a lanyard and an Imagine Your Story brag tag just for registering.
On the weekly form, you will specify whether you want to pick up your lanyard and brag tags at the library when we re-open, or have them mailed to your house.
Kids from the school with the highest percentage of students participating will earn a special brag tag!
Summer Reading ends on August 8, and will will do a drawing on Facebook Live at 1pm that day for raffle prizes. Raffle prizes will be gift cards purchased from local businesses that have generously donated to our programs in the past.
We recommend the Children’s Summer Reading and Activity challenges for elementary school children, although preschoolers may participate with a parent’s help. Middle school students may choose between this program and our Teen Summer Reading program. We also have Summer Reading for adults!
