On account of the rising COVID-19 cases in our area and for the safety of everyone, the library is moving to Curbside Services beginning on Monday, November 16.
All services will switch to curbside. While the library building will be closed to the public, don’t worry. We will still work to provide the best possible service and keep our normal hours of operation. The library will continue with material holds and MeLCat requests from other libraries as well as printing and fax services. Our virtual programs will continue as scheduled.

Our curbside service is fast and easy. Just place your materials on hold, wait for notification that your items are ready for pickup, and then call us when you arrive at the library. We’ll deliver your materials to your car with no-contact pickup.
Items can be reserved for pickup two ways:
- Use our online catalog at catalog.htlibrary.org
- Place requests by phone with library staff members at (586)329-1261
Requests may take up to 48 hours to process. Please wait for notification that your materials are ready before visiting the library for pickup. For faster service, call us ahead of time and let us know you’re on your way (586)329-1261.
As a safety precaution, we’re asking everyone to a wear mask and maintain six feet of distance while interacting with our staff.
